Securing Places
When a place has been offered and accepted, your confirmation is required in the form of a deposit within 14 days.
Your registration will continue until you give one months written notice to end your agreement. Any other changes should first be discussed then implemented by agreement... number of sessions etc.

Arrival And Departure
The law requires at least two members of staff to be available until the last child has been collected. Parents must keep the nursery informed of any delays... this allows time to re-organise staff. Arrival or departure outside the agreed times will attract additional charges... initially at the discretion of the Nursery Manager. (Minimum £6.50)

Holidays
The nursery will close every year for one week in August and about one week during Christmas and New Year. In addition the nursery is closed for the English Bank Holidays. These are the only weeks and days when fees will not be charged in full... there are no discounts or concessionary rates. This ensures your child’s registration is maintained through any period of absence. It allows the nursery to maintain appropriate staffing levels and provide fair employment conditions for all the nursery nurses. This provides the consistency and builds parent/staff relationships that further enhance confidence and integrity in the duty of care.

Payment Of Fees
Fees will reviewed every year, usually April. All fees are paid monthly in advance by cheque... fees paid in cash are not encouraged and must be by agreement. Fees paid by cash must be for the invoice total, as there is no cash float on the premises for safety reasons. Cash payments for invoices will attract an additional handling charge for each £100 invoiced. That is, £1 up to the first £100, £2 up to the second £100 and so on.

You are requested to complete your payments within 14 days of the invoiced date. After this payment period there will be additional charges for consistently late payments. In the event of fees or other sums being outstanding more than twenty-one days, you will be asked to withdraw your child from the nursery.

Cheques that are not processed normally by our bank will also lead to the same considerations and may incur additional charges of £10.00 for each cheque, each time it is re-presented... we do not operate a retainer system. No refunds can be given.

Property And Belongings
The nursery cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to children’s property, unless this is due to the negligence of the staff. Every effort will be made by the staff to avoid any loss or damage... practical clothing should be worn with indoor and outdoor shoes.

Insurance
The nursery has an extensive cover exceeding all legal requirements.

Accident Procedure
The nursery requires the right to administer basic first aid and treatment when required. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign the accident book. Accidents of potentially more serious concern, that may involve doctors, will be immediately notifiable to parents. Emergency contact names, medical information regarding allergies, dietary or other special requirements must be kept updated by parents in writing.
The nursery will not be held responsible for lack of due diligence by parents in this regard.

Illness
Parents are requested not to send their child to nursery if they are suffering from any infectious diseases, sore throat, discharge from the eyes, diarrhoea or if they are generally un-well. The nursery is realistic to the needs of working parents but reserves the right to contact parents if their child becomes ill during nursery hours.

Please read the literature regarding incubation and exclusion periods. Parents are requested to inform the nursery if their child contracts any (normal childhood) ailments or illnesses.

Security
Under no circumstances will your child be allowed to leave the nursery with anyone unknown to the nursery staff. Please keep all photographs up to date. All details supplied to the nursery will be held in the strictest confidence.
